Iowa State University True and Valiant Award

"True and valiant like the bells of Iowa State" are words of "The Bells of Iowa State," sung by thousands of alumni at university celebrations and official ceremonies. Written by Jim Wilson in 1931, the song's phrase expresses the spirit of loyalty and commitment Iowa Staters have for their alma mater. This award recognizes an individual's lifelong service, generosity, and distinction that have helped transform Iowa State University.
